ANOTHER D-MNED THICK SQUARE BOOK, EH, MISTER GIBBON?

Judith Curry deserves thanks for an unintended  epiphany: the appearance of Volume II makes the Heartland Institute's self-congratulatory NIPCC Report  thicker than The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, but why does the PR business bother subsidizing  all the scribble, scribble, scribble  ( and daub ) that goes into such spectacularly bogus works of climate skepticism?  

The answer is that bad lawyers need worse books.
