Bridge to Mar-a-Lago is being raised 4 feet
The Florida Department of Transportation is building a new bridge to Mar-a-Lago that's 4 feet higher than the current one. But don't call it a climate adaptation project.
The $93 million bridge replacement and associated road improvements along Southern Boulevard are intended to aid traffic and pedestrian flow across the tidal inlet known as Lake Worth Lagoon, whose waters lap against Mar-a-Lago's west lawn and palm-lined sea wall.
