                              WILL ANCIENT ALIENS BE
THE CLIMATE COMMUNICATORS OF THE FUTURE?

The New York Times fears for the future of CNN

“Since Mr. Licht’s 9 p.m. experiment, ,’ … viewership has fallen below what the network was drawing in the time slot just a few months ago.

“At 9 p.m. on March 8, more Americans watched ‘Homicide Hunter: The Man With No Face’ on the Investigation Discovery cable network than CNN Primetime' s exclusive interview with President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine...

a broadcast of ‘Ancient Aliens’ on the History Channel drew a bigger audience than CNN Primetime 's interview with the first lady, Jill Biden.”

This roll-off is of acute concern to  climate communicators because the Apocalyptic skies wildfires generate are vastly more entertaining than CNN, CBS, and MSBN anchors trying to decouple  Covering Climate Now scripts about forest fires from  generations of Smokey The Bear ads in order to link dark skies to invisible CO2.

To recover their faltering audience climate communicators and networks should delegate environmental screen-reading to deepfake avatars of the wise creatures that made first contact with Walter Cronkite.
