WITH A DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSMAN RUNNING THE AAAS , AND AN
ADMINISTRATION THAT MAKES THE NORKS LOOK SCIENCE -FRIENDLY,
ONLY YOU CAN PREVENT THE DECAY OF BIPARTISAN SCIENCE POLICY.

ConservAmerica extends a hearty “thank you” and support to the 46 Republicans who voted against the bill, known as the Perry Amendment, sponsored by Pennsylvania Rep. Scott Perry.
If passed, the legislation would have blocked a provision in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that requires research into the long term impacts of climate change on our military, and deleted references in the NDAA identifying climate change as a threat to our national security.
Conservatives believe science should guide decision making, especially when the security of the United States is involved.
Ideology and special interests are not a reason to score points with our military, let alone the prospects of future generations of Americans, by minimizing or eliminating research into the threats posed by climate change.
Fortunately for all of us, a growing number of Republicans in Congress understand supporting science and the assessment of our military is more important than partisanship. Please take a moment to thank your representative if he or she is on the following list!
